Posted : 9/2/2009 Comments : I cannot say enough about how wonderful everyone at Camp McDonald is. My "baby" as she is getting older, seems to be developing some new and unusual health issues from skin allergies to the possibility of Cushings Disease. My dog is like my child and needless to say the prospect of an impending life altering illness is very daunting. Dr. Pappas took the time to review a multitude of past medical records for my dog to ensure that the treatment needed was the most effective for her. She also spent close to 20 minutes on a follow up wellness call explaining what symptoms to look for and what different treatment plans are available, just in case, my dog develops the disease in the future. I actually removed my dog from her previous animal hospital specifically to bring her to Camp McDonald after we received such wonderful care at the Animal911 in Skokie, which is also owned and operated by Dr. Petereit.
Thank you so much for being so thorough, caring and patient with Buster and know that you have my complete trust that my dog will get the loving treatment she needs.
Posted By : Carol Posted : 8/11/2009 Comments : I am new to Cam McDonald, I have been to the hospital several times and I really liked Dr. Scott, he was very kind and seemed to care about my animals well being. However it seems that I can never get an appointment to see him. He always seems to be out of town or on vacation. This is really upsetting to me because I would continue to come to the hospital if he was there on a more regular basis.

I can effortlessly state, without doubt, that Dr. Scott is the family vet for our 4 collies. Dr. Scott is exceptionally thorough, knowledgeable, caring, listens to concerns and gives you the best information so that you can make well informed decisions. I have seen changes take place that are in the best interest of care for all. I do not make these statements about Dr. Scott without substantiation. Our collie Brody has successfully lost 14 pounds and the improvement to his hips is remarkable this is attributed to Dr. Scotts wisdom and guidance. To see our Brody getting up with ease and without pain is a wonderful site. Dr. Scott has also been instrumental in helping our other collie, Sean, who had persistent skin infections. It was determined that Sean had allergies and now our Sean is a happy, healthy boy again. The office staff is outstanding -- all of them!!

Posted : 6/3/2009 Comments : Just wanted to give a follow up about our dog Hunter. Already over 1 month later, and no return of the ear infection that has troubled our dog for over one 1/2 years. It's clear our dog has been in pain and now, pain free. He is a completely different dog thanks to our amazing treatment at this vet. Thanks again Dr Scott

We miss Dr. Osbourne but Dr. Williams is a fantastic Vet...very caring, compassionate, funny and skilled. Not just with the animals but their parents as well! Our pets love her! We reside here and in Michigan and are able to coordinate our pets' care between the facility we use in the North Woods and CMAH which makes for great continuity of care. Things have changed under the new management but we've not noticed anything detrimental. I like being able to get the results of heart worm testing on the spot. The new web site is great and the ability to refill meds online saves us time. We will continue to bring our pets here. Thanks for operating a fantastic facility.

Posted : 4/24/2009 Comments : We are new to this vet having tried 4 vets in the area. Our dog has had reoccuring ear infections and severe reactions to every medication given. Dr Scott took the time to review every medication, every food we have given our dog. Then, after reviewing his bacteria under a microscope recommended we have a test to check to see what kinds of bacteria our dog had and what meds would then kill that bacteria. He told us it might take time and we should be patient. After a few days, we were given human meds and our dog had no reactions what so ever. And today, one week later, we have no infection! our dog is now happy, jumping, running. And, he eats like crazy. It is testiment to Dr Scott for his patience and thoroughness that our dog is better. You are in good hands w/ Dr Scott.
Posted By : Lisa D. Posted : 3/28/2009 Comments : We've been with C.M.A.H. for about three years for vet care and boarding on the recommendation of a good friend. I was nervous about my first visit with "new management" but was very satisfied. While there is new staff, I was happy to see a familiar face such as Dr. Williams and one of the receptionists. I really liked that my lab was treated in the exam room, in my presence. In the past she was taken out of the room and I never knew what exactly was being done. I also like the option of buying meds on-line right through this website. Yes, I liked the old C.M.A.H and will miss Dr. Osborne but I'm sure the new C.M.A.H will do well and so far I like it!
Posted By : michelle Usvolk Posted : 3/22/2009 Comments : Everyone at Camp McDonald from the receptionists, techs and Docs are wonderful.
I thank God for Camp McDonald Animal Hospital.
Everyone, from the women you first see behind the counter who are compassionate, friendly, genuine, comforting and patient, to the techs who are knowledgeable and caring, to the docs
who have been gifts to me. Especially Dr. Williams who I have worked with through thick and thick for about 6 years. Not only is she an exceptional vet, she is a great therapist too.
Dr. Janine not only cares about animals, she also cares about people.
There may be changes going on, but change can be a good thing (albeit uncomfortable.)
Thanks guys, for everything.
Posted By : Kim Posted : 3/19/2009 Comments : I want to start off by saying how great the new additions have been to this hospital! I have never recieved so much information about "my babies" that I had never in the past. I feel the quality of care and awareness of their needs have increased since Dr. Scott has taken over. I do still see some friendly "old faces" and the new ones seem to fit in nicely. Thank you for your compassion and care. Keep up the good work! :)
Posted By : Kyle Posted : 1/27/2009 Comments : We have been bringing our pets here for years. We love the new doctors. Our two dogs Rascal and Dotty get the best treatment whenever they come in. Thank you to the wonderful staff for always welcoming us and helping us to find the answers to our questions! We love Camp McDonald Animal Hospital!
