Hi I'm Wendy!

I've been Dr. Scott Petereit's Practice Manager since 2001.  In 1994, I graduated with honors from Parkland College, Champaign, Illinois, as a Certified Veterinary Technician.   Before joining the team here, I had worked for a veterinarian in southern IL, for 5 years, that at one point owned 12 practices in the St. Louis area.  I really loved that job and never dreamed that I would find another one that made me so happy to go to work.   I was wrong, I'm once again part of a wonderful team and I can truly say that I love my job.

My husband, Scott, an ER nurse, and I have been married since 1994.  We live in Illinois with our 3 children, Josh, Ben and Mara.  They bring joys to us every single day.  Outside of the office I stay pretty busy with them.  We are very involved with our church, where I sit on several committees and teach Sunday school.  I also lead one of our sons' CubScout dens.  I spend most of my time chasing them and running to activities.  Personally, I enjoy spending time with our families and scrapbooking and visiting with friends.  We travel as often as we can, we all love to camp and explore nature.
Our new dog joined our family on 12/13/08.  Her name is Carly.  She is an Australian Shepherd mix about 1 year old, adopted from a rescue in Chicago.
